Your Merger Update: What to Expect
Ascent Credit Union is becoming Weber State Credit Union, a division of Goldenwest. This merger honors our Weber State roots while bringing you more branches, expanded products and services, and new online and mobile banking tools.
As we complete the operating system merger, please keep these important dates in mind.
October 30–November 2: Temporary Service Outage
Beginning Friday, October 30, at 6 p.m. Mountain Time, Ascent Credit Union branch services, online and mobile banking, bill pay, and shared branching will be unavailable through early Monday morning, November 2.
Your existing Visa debit and credit cards will remain available for use during the outage. Continue using them through November 1.
November 2: What You Need to Do
Beginning the morning of Monday, November 2, you can:
- Activate and begin using your new Weber State Credit Union Visa debit and credit cards.
- Access the new online banking system at weberstatecu.org.
- Begin using the Weber State Credit Union mobile app.
- Start using your new account and routing numbers.
Beginning November 2, update your direct deposits and automatic payments with your new account and routing numbers. March 31, 2027, is the final day transactions will clear using your old numbers.
