Why is WSCU changing its credit and debit card programs?
In a continuous effort to serve our members, WSCU has enhanced its VISA program based on feedback from members. The new card program has been tailored to better fit the lifestyle of our members.

What makes this program better?
WSCU is now offering 4 card programs- including one of the only debit cards in the state to offer reward points redeemable for airline, travel, and merchandise. We have also upgraded ALL existing Classic card members to Platinum Rewards members, and given them a better rate.

Members are also now able to choose their own card program, and their own card design- a feature that has previously been unavailable to members.

What will happen to my existing card?
Members who use the existing WSCU VISA cards will continue to use the same card number, PINs, and account number as they have now. Members are encouraged to order a new card design at no charge to reflect the card's program change.

Debit cards have been renamed "Debit Rewards" cards, and have been given a lower interest rate. Classic card members have been upgraded to "Platinum Rewards" members, and have also been given a lower rate. Existing Platinum cards have been named "Platinum Cash-Back" cards.

If members wish to change their card program or design, they can do so by visiting any branch, or by calling the Help Desk at 1-888-978-9728.

What happens to my existing rewards if I change cards?
Members who close their existing Platinum Cash-Back or Platinum Rewards card will lose their accumulated reward points or cash back.

Don't I need great credit to qualify for Platinum?
While many institutions require a certain credit score or income to qualify for Platinum, we believe everyone's membership should be rewarded. Though some members may start with a lower credit limit, proper use of the card will result in regular credit limit increases.

Which card design goes with which card program?
The new WSCU cards have a mix-and-match capability not previously offered. There are two Debit card designs, and three platinum card designs to choose from. A member's choice of program does not require the selection of a specified card design.
