Community Involvement
At Weber State Credit Union, we not only believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People", we practice it. Below are just some of the many community involvement activities we participate in.
Shred-It Day
In our effort to fight identity theft Weber State Credit Union and Shred-It have joined forces. On Saturday, April 24th, 2010, the sixth annual community “Shred It” day was held. Several Shred-it trucks were made available at our Main Branch, North Ogden Branch and Roy Branch to shred and recycle confidential documents free of charge to the public. We shredded over 20,000 lbs. of paper.
Relay for Life
On Friday, June 4th, 2010 we will have a group of credit union employees helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the Relay for Life event. Stop in at any one of our branches to purchase a Luminary Bag for $5.00. Bags will be lit at a special ceremony during the event to honor cancer patients, survivors, and those who have passed away.
